Maharashtra Congress chief calls Santosh Deshmukh ‘martyr’ at launch of Sadbhavana Yatra

Referring to the murder of Mr. Deshmukh, the sarpanch of Massajog village in Beed district, Harshwardhan Sapkal said, “Are we learning anything from his sacrifice? We should take responsibility so that such cruelty does not happen again.” Investigations revealed that Mr. Deshmukh attempted to stop an extortion bid targeting a wind energy company in the district. State Minister and Beed MLA Dhananjay Munde recently resigned over the matter.
